PSI-administered exam — salesperson: 80 national + 40 NH questions (120 total); broker: 75 national items scored to an 80-point scale + 40 NH questions (115 total); both 4 hours, 70% required on each portion independently. New Hampshire has no state recovery fund. Confirmed 2026-07-27 field-for-field against a PSI candidate information bulletin (effective 6/1/2019 — the current oplc.nh.gov host 403s automated fetches, so this is the newest fetchable copy; item/time structure rarely changes between PSI revisions but this is worth a one-time manual re-check).

How many hours of approved study must a New Hampshire broker candidate complete before the exam?
60 hours — Broker candidates must complete 60 hours of approved study, half again as much as the 40 hours required of salesperson candidates.

Which experience path can qualify a candidate for a New Hampshire broker license?
Full-time employment by an active principal broker for at least one year within the prior five years — One qualifying path is a year of full-time work under an active principal broker within the preceding five years; a part-time hours equivalent is also accepted.

Involvement in at least six separate real estate transactions in which they were actively engaged and compensated — Broker applicants must show real transactional experience, at least six deals where they were actively involved and paid, not just time served under a broker.
